Wednesday, May 18, 2005 Wello all,Gua sudah moleh hehehe. I am back to Spore. Back to moi blogging world and of cos back to work :o( ... Part ni sian skits la hehehehe... Anyway my trip to Bangkok was a great one. Seronok and I havent got time to comb all the areas. Basically its shopping shopping and more yeah..... Well what else can i do there. Lucky no excess baggage. Hubby with all his vases etc and he has been eyeing a cute mini fountain and a big lamp. I told him next time must have private jet. All also he wanna buy. As for me, its bags, sandals and some materials for hari raya clothing. Did not buy excessively though. Ok below are some highlites on my daily ECA there. FRIDAY Woke up and than get dressed and packed the toiletries. Vacuumed the house and than rested and chatted with nenek . Waited for mama to balik from pasar while hubby went to get the batteries and film for his camera. Hmmm I smsed Aoh at 10.10am and shes already on the way. Nabeh lucky aku da siap. Bukan nak sms sama gua hehehe... Ok off we went downstairs and took a combi. Combi tu van cos 6 of us are going. Reached airport and checked in and than looked for Elya but shes not ard. Wonder where is she. I smsed her and she called me but I was already inside and shes in the staff canteen. Kena scolded by her. Nabeh she say next time tell earlier. Aoh's aunts sibuk beli liquor cos its very cheap at the DFS. As for me n hubby, we got cigarettes for Cik Alip and FIL. Than grab drinks n sandwich kat McCafe and by than it was boarding time.Soyal my sandwich must bring and eat in the plane. Hmmm my 1st time taking Thai Airways. Takot pun ada but than all went well la. The Muslim food that we requested was much much better than the Chinese food. Lucky us . Hmmmmm difference that I saw between their steward n stewardess was that, they do not need to have standard make ups and standard accesorries. Ladies were wearing bright coloured Thai traditional costume. Pening siolll ku tgk .. Can wear big earrings not like SQ can only wear studs. And some wore necklaces and gelangs if i am not ard. Pat ni semua, SQ is the best la. Arrived there at ard 1+ Bangkok time or was it nearly 2pm. Hmmmmm the transfer was late mcm siak seh . Peh bingit. It was a big group seh sakit kepala tgk airport tu. And they dont even bother to check your luggages. Amin .... There was a jam somewhere near the airport and the hotel so we were late also la ...... All I know by the time we checked into the hotel etc, it was nearly 4pm. Promised Aoh to mee at 5pm. Unpacked and washed my face. Seronok sehhhh .... Than makciks Aoh cant wait and told us they are going to the lobby 1st. Mcm2 sak. Ok back downstairs we were thinking how the hell are we going to the Chao Praya River. The cab driver advised us to take the MRT. Than kita sesungguh la dgr cakap dia. End up after 2 stations must get down and get a bus. Siak bus some more so after mush finding, we zoomed there with a cab, The stooopiidd driver. Aoh took with her mum n aunts and me n hubby, Amin cos its aman and spacious ekeke. And in Bangkok no need to check, "Using meter or not" . All of them good people, semua pakai meter takyah nak bargain.Ok reached the Riverside and guess whatit started raining ... Nabeh all of us were told to go into a hotel lobby nearby . Nasib mcm kentang. But well soon semua da stop so we went to board the cruise tapi it starts raining again, Sian kan........ We were there too early and even after ordering our dinner and finished it the cruise have not sailed mcm siak........Finally it sail for 2 hrs.. Sonok. The view was nice. Must admit the temples were nicely built..... There was life band too n the place was happening.Hubby took some nice pics but nak kena develop n scan dulu pasal my Dsnap cant take clear pics when its too dark or far. Da abis cruise nanak alik Otel so we went to Suan Lum Nicht Bazaar. Kimek the cruise staff kasi salah info.... Suan Lum close at midnite but we did shop skit kat sana. Than alik hotel... ZZZzzZZZZZZ SATURDAY Told Aoh dont wanna go for city tour cos they will be visiting temples ... So me n hubby woke up at 8+ n showetred. Had bfast b off we went to Abg Jim's house heeheheheh. Hes n angmoh who migrated there years ago n his house is made into museum. nice but no pics allwed to be taken la. so i will scan the postcards n post here k.Anyway Abang Jim's name is Jim Thompson. He fell in love with Bangkok and the people n surrounding and decided to stay there for good. Hence his house is a nice one with pweety surroundings and its big. I really njoyed going there. Than off we went to Chatuchak Market cos Aoh n gang is there. But we cant meet cos the place is tooo big la. Besar dari pasar geylang bazaar ard 20 times or more agaknya la. Hmmmmmm hubby say for the 1st time, i pleaded with him to go out of this bazaar cos i was very very tired. Being a person who likes to shop and look at things, this market was too huge for me to cover. One thing becos, I have walkd all the way from the hotel to Abang Jim's place, which was quite a distance. Heheheh ok what issit thats good abt Chatuchak ? Well it sells from everything ranging from household items to clothings to even pets hehehe..... K what did i get there ? Leather Sandals, acessories, many bags, vases n mini clock (hubby's fav), kain batik for nenek, flowers etc etc. Hmmm never really bother to stop n look for clothes la. Malas Spore pun ada apa hehehehe. There were saying its cheaper but for em ni lautan manusia is too much to handle ... And mana lorong aku masuk pun theres no exits at all. Sedih siak, I kept nagging...........Finally dapat kluar amin... Hmmmmmmm took a cab home rested. After that we went to MBK. Jalan lagik cos its nearby. Torturous uwaaaaaaaaaaa and never really get things there. Went back to hotel n rested and waited for Aoh to call cos we are going to HRC later. Shes going for a massage 1st. Hmmmm haus sak by the time we sampai at 1+, HRC da tutup... Lemau skalik. Ingat mcm Spore la tutup kul 3. Cos we wanna get some souvenirs from there. Got no choice walked out and than saw 2 cab drivers. He was saying that theres a 24hrs thingy nearby at Sukhumvit so his fren drove us there and indeed there a bustling of fhops still open. Its called FoodLand. We walked ard the supermarket and than we saw a number of cafes thats open. Hmmm will sit in there later. Theres a number of street stalls selling shoes, bra hahaha and also sort of nail painting service. Mcm2 la sak. Saw a woman terkam a guy mcm konon kekobar la mcm taruk tangan dia kat tangan lelaki tu. Ku ingat apa sak cos the guy is AngMoh. Rupanya shes a pro and taktahu la muka mcm bapok sak and da tua . Ni Angmoh hensem hehehehe , Dia terperanjat rabak sak and simple brush that old hag n ignore dia. Kalau dia nak pun ramai yg lelawa apa. This pro turn ard and sueh sueh aku kat belakang dia. Sueh siollll. Haus la saw ard 2-3 of this kind of women. Anyway finally we went to this cafe and i had this set of brownie and strawberry fruitshake... Hubby had ice cream. Adeline had hot choc n waffles. Hmmm bustling la this place. Many people in and out. Blakang aku ada 1 old angmoh man, Bangsa perut da mcm belanga and 3 thai gals. Hmmmmmm mcm2 la kat sini. Ku buat dek aja. We ate n chatted and than ada 1 angmoh masuk banyak songeh nak burger mcm ni mcm ni .... mcm bagus la dia..... aku sepak kang. Than off we went back to the hotel. SUNDAY Decided today taknak bangun pagi. Taknak breakfast etc. Aku nga feeling damn tired pe. So ended up leaving the room at ard 11+ and off we went to India Market . Hmmm ni mcm Masjid India KL la nie. Got a cab but sueh lak he donno where. The other cab ada tapi meter lak rosak but hes charging us 40 baht aja which is very cheap. So we went there tapi si driver ni ada muslihat. He told us that the market bukak at 1pm and its too early to go there now. So he actually brought us to mcm Gems Industries. He told us today no jam senang drive and also sebenarnya dia say dia leh get 1litre free petrol for bringing people to the place. Hmmm so actually dia nak petrol la kimak tol kekekeke. But its ok hes nice. but than dia bawak lagik kita pat satu tempat.... This one not dat nice lah.. anyway I njoy looking at the rubies, saphires, diamonds blah blah but nanak waste money la beli ni benda semua . Nak kena sopping ni benda leh tolak tepi. The cabbie nak bawak lagik pi satu more gem company than by that time gua da peng gua say ngan hubby no more. The cabby plead la n plead but hubby say no send us to india market. And than farny dia bargain siak, dia say sir 1 more place and u just pay me 20 baht. Hubby say its ok u bring me there and i pay u 40 baht. From there i deduce petrol must be expensive hehehehhe . Ended up we gave him 50 baht pasal kesian and hes been driving ard quite far. Starting meter for cab is 35 baht apa. Ok in India Market, we walked ard and my purpose it to purchase silk for Mama, MIL and Nenek and moiself hehehhe. Ok got 3 sets of kain for them + 1 set of mcm kain songket and plain thai silk for me n mama to pakai during raya. Mcm bagus la kekekeke.. Paid 2900 baht for all dat. Kat luar ada banyak kedai lagik so aku bought another silk material to be made into a blouse. Than we walked ard and i find out ni la tempatnya untuk beli barang untuk gubahan kawin, kad jemputans etc. Hoe great it was and beautiful. Got myseld knitted crochet bags and walked ard some more. And than we went to look for Halal Food . Peh susah but managed to see one, Mcm kedai kopi but i donno how to eat the things there and best dia jual mee itik. Mcm mana nak makan. end up me n hubby beli popiah goreng, roti goreng and murtabak mini hehehe. Dont pray pray. We also beli some sweet desserts ard dat area. Seronok kan. And than balik hotel. Malam tu kita pi Suan Lum nite bazaar cos i wanna get souvenirs. Hubby saw a beautiful lamp n once again member tempted to buy. But i say no no mcm mana nak pi pikul . He say ok next time datang nak beli. i give up. Bought pashmina for myself . This bazaar is much cooler n teratur than chatuchak amin. aman sak aku jalan. And than balik otel n wait for aoh cos shes eating and off we went to HRC. This time leh masuk cos lum tutup. So we head for the merchandise shop 1st and than to inside of HRC. Hmmm ramai orang nga party. Thais gals n angmohs la etc. Meluat pun ada tapi who cares. We went up to sit cos downstairs was packed and org nga jejoget ....... So we watch the life band which was ok but than ear deafening la. Hahahha sempat nenok pemain gitar dia hensem ehheheheh. Mcm bebudak F4 la tall and nice hair. Siak kan .... Neway Aoh pun tgk apa and I told hubby that guy nice hehehehe. Dia pun takder perasaan. in there u cant talk, u must shout... penat sak haus and the music was loud. Ok bab drinks ni cute pasal asa one section is called "Virgin Drinks" ke apala. Heheheh rupanya ni semua mocktails la . No liqour. Bagus bagus so aku ended up drinking shirley temple. Buddy ni bukan arak hehehehe dia mocktail mcm kat amirans. Baru aku tau..... We had our drink njoyed the music and than off we went to look for planet hollywood. Ni Aoh la nak merchandise sana pulak. Asked a staff there and he say its nearby but ended up we saw no Planet ard. Tanya cab driver, dia tak tahu and this driver actually bring Aoh and asked her nakpi mana and dia tahu of discotheque yg tutup sampai kul 6 pagi. Sempat lak pegang tangan kawan aku n say shes beautiful and datang dari mana, kawan ku say donno la and than walked away. Mcm sial gatal nya jantan. Ni Aoh bukan bilang if not hubby sure da warn tu jantan. Anyway kita pi police post and ask la mana tu tempat. He ended up coming out of the post n bual ngan aku in Thai. He tot aku orang sana. Bole ajala aku kan blend in easily kat sana muakakakkaka.... Hmmmm seems that planet da pindah tempat la and he says by the time we sampai sana, the place da nak tutup. Nak taknak kena balik otel . Balik hotel ku lak lapar so nak makan. Hmm terpaksa la call room service n specify we are muslims cos org sana semua suka porky .. bluwek nak muntah sak aku.............Da so kita end up makan ku; 3 pagi dalam room eheh. Walao eh siap ngan meja da mcm candle lite laaaa..Seronok pun ada but too pedas for me. Than zzzzzzzzzzzzzz MONDAY Hmm time flies. Niari da nak balik pun. Woke up at 8plus. Aoh la da picit bell cos apparently kita tetukar paper bag so end up her HRC items are all with us. Mcm2 hubby yg layan dia aku lepak.Than golek and woke up mandi and had bfast. Lepas tu masuk alik bilik pasal nak ilek jap and than we walk to MBK again. Ak ah tak tau nak pi mana, Nak pi Pratunam mcm malas nanti kang overspend lak , Nak kena change lagik duit kang hehehe......Pi MBK & I get some accesories and kerepeks for my family n colleagues. Jenjalan and me n hubby check out dia nta cinemas, karaoke rooms and bowling alleys. Mak ai peh lawa. Bowling alleys dia peh grand and also ada personal room beb. Leh book pasal its mcm in a room and have 2 lanes. The cinemas best bukan ada tempat makan nachos n popcorns aja. Semua restaurants ada kat sana. And tempat karaoke dia better. Bukan mcm one palce. They have different cubicles so semua org tak dengar each other singing and its soundproof... I was amazed la. Thailand maybe way back compared to us but the shopping centres menakjubkan. Anyway we n hubby saw some items that we will come back n buy. Pasal lupa nak say lepas da packing smlm, hmmm luggage da really packed to the brim. Ni kerepek pun da sumbat kat hubby nya bagpack. So luckily kita nampak beg murah and we bought it. Hubby nak beli mini wooden fountain. Ada la very nice n kiut . Akulak nak get the candle holder ni .. cute but they sell in a set. Nak beli bebanyak nak buat apa. Saw nice paintings also hmmmm haus semua pun nak mcm siak kan... Grab fillet o fish at mac and than naik taxi alik hotel walaupun its walking distance. Cabby kun ketawa mcm siak heheheh pasal da short of time n da penat. I wanna take shower before nak kena naik flight ni semua. Aoh ngan makcik2 semua da pi jalan pepagi. Got back did all the final packings. Suruh hubby pi makan while aku showered. We checked out at ard 2+ and than settle ur room service bills. Ended up kena change money again pasal nanti nak pat airport tax takot tak enuff. So apa lagik ada extra cash kan, i went to Naraya and got myself a set of toiletries n make up bag from Naraya. Da penat dok kat lobi and than saw makciks aoh jalan pass us nak pi piss piss mcm siak. Nampak Aoh nak clear safe mcm2. Me n hubby ilek one koner je. We have total of 2 luggage bags, one side bags full of kerepeks and hubby's bagpack n plastic bunga aku. Hmmm semua nicely packed and teratur. Hmm Aoh nya side ada 3 luggage and side bags nta baper banyak and than ada mcm beg boyan lagik etc etc . Pening sak kepala tgk beb. Luckily its a bus that fetches us for the transfer hehehehehhehe..... Masuk airport kena scan tapi not for me maklum muka thai muekekkeke.... We checked in nasib baik takder excess baggage and than some changes of flight seats pasal change airplane .. Mcm2 la. Anyway the shops dalam transit area nothing nice la compared pat spore and its much much more expensive. Kalau nak buy chocolates semua just get kat spore airport ........ Than me n hubby went to the gate and kena screen lagik mcm siak. Aku tak kena lagik la mcm biasa hehe........... Board the plane soon and than makciks si aoh ni nak duduk sesama la etc . aku da kekobar pakai belt semua ni ekekek kimak bingit sak aku ......... Finally kita depart...Hmm sonok gak naik aeroplane nie cuma aku takot pat dia baru nak naik. Memang phobia .. Lain dari tu semua i like so much ... Bila agaknya nak pi naik lagik. soon I pomise myself......
